The Sixth Plenary Session of the 19th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China comprehensively summarized the major achievements and historical experience of the Party in its centennial struggle, traced back the glorious history of the Party from the four historical periods of the new democratic revolution, the socialist revolution and construction, the new period of reform and opening up and socialist modernization, and the entry of socialism with Chinese characteristics into a new era, and profoundly revealed "why we succeeded in the past and how we can continue to succeed in the future".
The plenary session focused on summarizing the historical achievements, historic changes and accumulated new experience in the cause of the Party and the state in the new era. In July 1921, in the great awakening of the Chinese people and the Chinese nation, in the close combination of Marxism Leninism and the Chinese labor movement, the CPC came into being. The birth of the Communist Party in China is an epoch-making event, and the Chinese revolution has taken on a new look ever since.
28 years of bloody struggle, 28 years of indomitable. During the period of the new democratic revolution, the Party led the people to create the great achievements of the new democratic revolution, established the People's Republic of China, achieved national independence and people's liberation, completely ended the history of semi colonial and semi feudal society in old China, completely ended the history of a few exploiters ruling the vast number of working people, and completely ended the fragmented situation in old China, It has completely abolished the unequal treaties imposed on China by the powerful countries and all the privileges of imperialism in China, realized China's great leap from thousands of years of feudal autocracy to people's democracy, greatly changed the world political pattern, and encouraged the oppressed nations and forced people around the world to fight for liberation. During the period of socialist revolution and construction, the Party led the people to rely on their own efforts and work hard to become stronger. It created great achievements in socialist revolution and construction, achieved the most extensive and profound social change in the history of the Chinese nation, and achieved a great leap forward for the great oriental country, which is poor, two white, and has a large population, to stride into socialist society. At the Third Plenary Session of the Eleventh Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, held at the end of 1978, a historic decision was made to shift the focus of the Party's and the country's work to economic development and implement reform and opening up. Looking back on the centenary journey, from the founding of the Party to the founding of New China, to the reform and opening up, to the historic achievements and changes in the new era, the four historical periods have different historical connotations and characteristics of the times, but the implementation of the original mission is the theme of the centenary consistent and unswerving.
At the beginning of the century, our Party has always worked for the happiness of the Chinese people. The country is the people, and the people is the country.
